Dear Friend in Ministry,
Can you still hear the strains of a hymn or sermon you heard during a Reformation service you attended?God has so richly blessed us to be able to hear His Word in its truth and purity.
By now, you are likely looking forward to Thanksgiving – to remembering anew how abundantly God has blessed all of us – even if the blessings this past year have not been on a par with previous years.The truth is God has blessed us, therefore we are thankful.
Soon we will be involved with our preparations for celebrating Jesus’ birth – rejoicing again over the refrain “Christ the Savior is born!”Jesus is the real joy of the season – the real reason for the season – the real peace of the season.
And then comes another new year, 2010.Once again we will look forward with confidence that God will continue to be with us and provide for us.Our God is a faithful God.
Please pause for a minute, as you consider all the blessings we have just thought about and consider giving a gift for the Lord’s ministry at Camp Shiloh Lutheran Retreat.Your gift will be used to meet the operating needs of this ministry, unless you designate differently.
