FAQ:
Who qualifies for Special Needs Family Camp?
Any family that has an individual with special needs (to include, but not limited to Down Syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy). We especially want to provide a camp experience for those that are unable to attend our regular summer camps that are provided for our youth and teens.
What about my typical children? Are they invited too?
Yes! We encourage families to bring everyone with them. Activities will be available for them as well
Is Camp Shiloh accessible for persons with disabilities?
Our facilities are rugged and full of nature including rocks, tree debris, both paved and unpaved walkways and stairs. Our common area and dining hall can both accommodate all persons with disabilities. Most lodging includes stairs, but there are several completely accessible rooms available.
When will camp run?
Family Camp Weekend is being planned for April 19-21, 2024. Arrive on Friday night and depart Sunday afternoon. At this time campfire will be the only planned Friday evening activity as a chance for families to just come together and meet. The weekend of activities will begin with Saturday breakfast and end after Sunday morning worship.
My child has special dietary needs? Can you accommodate them?
At this time in the planning, we are hoping to provide 3 meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday as part of the registration fees. Please let us know what dietary needs your child has so we can speak with our head cook about her ability to accommodate your child/family's needs.
Where will families stay for family camp?
Families will be assigned lodging based on family size, needs/accommodations and registration order. Please let us know if you would like to bring an RV or camper.
